3) Clean your roof

5) Set your ceiling fans to spin clockwise

Because of the slight angle the blades are set at, spinning forward or in reverse can circulate air downward or upward.

In the colder seasons, you should have your fans spinning in the clockwise direction to force air upward. This will draw the warm air to the ceiling and better disperse it throughout the room.
